An A de la Roche product must conform to strict guidelines in term of both style and quality.
Every A de la Roche product is designed, assembled and produced in Paris.
The presence of a golden medal on every A de la Roche product, is the guarantee of the respect of these guidelines while embellishing the product itself.

The DNA collection comprises 12 models for sale.
Here are the detailed steps that were necessary for their achievement.

The Style
The Style
31 drawings achieved.
The drawings are first designed according to the main inspiration, then according to the materials, the colors and the accessories that make this inspiration a reality.
A selection amongst these drawings is then made in order to retain only the very best.

The Patterns
The Patterns
18 patterns achieved, 25 canvases mounted.
Canvases are first made by casting on a wooden mannequin for the research of the volumes.
They are then tried on a real life model, and then corrected or changed to obtain the desired result.

Paper patterns, which are the flat-out representation of each part of the garment, are made from each of these canvases.
Some models required more than 3 canvases and as many changes in patterns, while others were cancelled as they did not meet our standards.

The Assembly of Prototypes
The Assembly of Prototypes
26 prototypes were made.
The prototypes, made from canvas and patterns, allow models to take shape in their final material for the first time. This is the moment of truth.
They are tried and modified as much as necessary and we sometimes need to change the fabric or revise a cut for a perfect fit.
At least two prototypes are produced by models to meet the various uses: shooting, showroom, etc ...

The Supplies
The Supplies
Behind their apparent simplicity, A de la Roche models include between 3 and 10 different types of supplies, often invisible: buttons, zippers, ribbons, shoulder pads, linings, thermo-adhesives, hooks, cords, end-pieces, etc. These supplies come exclusively from France-based suppliers.

Fabrics
Fabrics
We have worked with 6 fabrics suppliers, 2 of which are based in Paris and 4 in the vicinity of Milan.
We selected 11 different fabrics: mainly silks, cottons, crepes, satin and cashmere.
Most of these fabrics were dyed in to obtain the colors chose for the collection.

The Golden Medal
The Golden Medal
It is the distinctive sign of the A de la Roche products, both discreet and radiant. This result is obtained by a 24-carat fine gold gilding, and a high end engraving process, performed by a famous Parisian atelier.

Quality tests
Quality tests
Several tests are performed in accordance with our quality guidelines.
All our prototypes are tried to ensure their comfort and behavior.
Our prototypes are washed and dried to verify the long-term fastness of colors, materials and supplies.
The fabrics are ironed to ensure they do not shine and lose their original shape.

We have chosen to indicate all these elements for consumer information purposes, on our products and business, to ensure honesty and transparency to our customers.
